FIA GT Round 8 - Nogaro

Nogaro is next weekend, and nice to see Aston Martin Racing is entring a factory Vantage GT2 there with Enge/Mucke

the entry list, but no sign of the IPB Reiter Lambo, shame

Id guess the 997 RSR, they would have more success with that than the Saleen.

Errr...... What Saleen, because the only ones that come to mind are the RBimm/B-Racing one and the ARC one.

And the ARC Saleen is for sale on the FIA GT website.

Question out of topic:

Does Saleen still develop on the racing version of the Saleen?

We are talking about Konrad, who has at least 2 S7R's sitting in his workshop.

But I believe the most up-to-date one he has is already entered as the Rbimmo/B-Racing car.

Which is why i suggested the 997 RSR instead of a Saleen.

Totally agree. His 997 is an '07 spec car though, isn't it? Also not the newest weapon, really...

Although the class of the Corvette field will still be the SRT and two Phoenix cars.

It's the Pirelli tyres that will really scupper the DKR entry. The lineup is actually pretty strong (Dayraut is one of the quickest men in FFSA-GT and Canal has debuted impressively) and the team is experienced. They crewed the PSI entries in the past and also are the manpower behind the Prospeed banner in FIA competition this year. In comparison to Michelin-shod Corvettes, however, the Pirelli cars have really been unimpressive.

There's only 4 Corvettes for Nogaro. The AT Racing C5-R isn't entered.

As if anyone would even notice!

The CC tyres are sadly not up to the task of making the cars either competitive or comfortable for gentleman drivers to drive. I realize that they don't cost as much, but I would love to know who thought it was a bright idea to give inexperienced drivers less grip...

ask Ratel and Michelin, last year the JMB MC12 was slower than half of the GT2 field with these tyres

The Prospeed appeal was heard on September 10, 2008 regarding their disqualification at Adria. I've been checking the FIA-GT web-site everyday or so but have seen no report of the outcome of the appeal. Has anyone heard anything? If not, why is this taking so long?

I didn't realize Citation Cup ran different tires?

I noticed the FIA GT website hasn't even bothered awarding Citation Cup points to AT Racing since Round 2 anyway.

The compound they run is the same as the GT3 hards i believe. And its a shame the other cars are no longer in the citation cup. The idea for it is good. What happened to JMB? Why is it they run in Citation cup? They were once the Red Bull JMB team that won several races a few years back.

Sadly no Michelin supported onboards for the Vettes from what I have been told (like Brno).

yes Citation Cup competitors are using Michelin GT3 tires, thats why they are so slow, even GT2 cars are faster
