Crash and Burn should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Good Year in Come Back

Has anyone got anymore news about this?
It was also rumoured that 'Firestone' are interested in F1

So it could be a 3 way or a 4 way battle....

Any news - post it below..................

Hmmm... Goodyear was rumoured to come back into F1. Definitely not next year...and if they are to come back in 2003, expect an announcement come November. Even if they were to come back, i think it would be 2004 or 2005, when the new tire deals expire...

As for Firestone, isnt that a part of Bridgestone?

I think it'd be really interesting to see Goodyear come back - there hasn't been a three-way tyre war for a long time!

And I thought Firestone was what Bridgestone is called in America...I could be wrong, though.

Bridgstone/Firestone is one tyre company...Firestone supply CART and Bridgstone have F1..

Goodyear supply Nascar, so it would be good if they came back into F1..

Regards...Jeremy

Goodyear were supposedly coming back in 2003 with McLaren, but because McLaren have (or are signing) a deal with Michelin, that is for 3 years only, Goodyear will either have to wait until that finishes, as McLaren were interested in Goodyear, or wait until another team comes off contract and signs with them.

In 2005/6, we could see Bridgestone/Ferrari, Michelin/Williams and McLaren/Goodyear.

Who else is there to join? Dunlop perhaps......
