Hello, I think Montoya could be the man of the pole, he had been there before, in 1998 in F3000 he won the pole; after Brazil he is more confident, and Gene test show us that Willian has a good car for that race.
What do you think? F300 1998, Imola Starting grid Driver Time 1 Juan Pablo Montoya 1m40.695 2 Gonzalo RodrĂ*guez 1m41.216 3 Jason Watt 1m41.232 4 Kurt Mollekens 1m41.283 Source: http://www.forix.com/asp/3kgp.asp?z=...0&r=199802&c=3 |

Who knows...but for i know what it means for Ferrari to win there, and i've been to the Imola-GP twice, I think it will be hard to beat them there. But the great Juan is able to do it. Pole? Who cares. Victory? If Ralfie will let him....lol.

i'd say no. he's a better racer than qualifier.
the sad thing about that top 4? 1 is no longer with us, 1 has retired, and 1 has had his racing career rearranged by a motorbike accident. |

Well Juan in F3000 was just a dominant force, but on F1 you can´t think that because you´ve done good in other series you will have a good race. And as Jean said, Imola is ferrari´s home soil, so they will do anything in their hands to win the pole and the race.

OK JuanF, good stats...he's a good racer and qualifier, lust like TGF. But anyway...the "Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari" won't be the place where it's the most probable for a colombian Williams-driver to catch the pole, although I know JPM has many fans in Italy who love his emotional way of driving...so do I...but I still love Jeannot the most...this won't change...lol.

There is no doubt that Montoya has the speed, and the Williams is fast, the real question will be how well suited to Imola the Michelins will prove to be.
