I'm not 100% sure it is "hugely positive" at least for my personal aficionado point of view.

If after 2008 F1 becomes so static in terms of fighting against excess of driver aids, wings and tyre grip as it has been in the last decade, maybe I had wished some rivalry from another real top formula. Monopoly (real or factual) has this problem, if you don't like the product you are lost.

Anyway, every F1 follower has his/her point of view. I hope it is positive for most of them.

So, hmm, give it another 20-30 years and we might have something approaching an equitable situation.

I am stunned by this development.

Did we not know that this is how it would turn out? Just in time for Monaco. I am glad to be honest are you?

I am surprised it wasn't announced at Monaco.

I think very few people expected any other outcome, and I think most are glad.

The manufacturers as governors of everything...that would end up in a bit of a mess...

Well, they all can celebrate in the casino, a lot of champagne, nice girls strolling around and...

bags of money.

The deal was in fact reached verbally in Spain. This is what we were told by journalist Christian Tortora during the TV broadcasting of the Spanish GP.

It is positive if you compare this with what happened as a result of the Champ / IRL split. I agree though that the direction of F1 needs to be rejunevated. Time has come for Bernie to retire.
